21 Envejecimiento en UE Es un éxito de la humanidad. Pero en 2060 habrá 153 millones de personas mayores. Aumentan en 185% los mayores de 80 años. Mientras que desciende un 14% la población en edad de trabajar. Habrá 2 personas en edad de trabajar por cada dos mayores, ahora es 1 a 4. Mas dependencia. CLD, LTC?. Máxima relevancia en EU 2020.
22 Qué implica la sostenibilidad social? Ello plantea un problema de sostenibilidad de: 1)los sistemas de pensiones; 2) sistemas de salud Factor gasto, pero más. Mas eficiencia. ¿cómo podemos disminuir el gasto sin que afecte a la calidad del servicio, aumente la satisfacción del cliente y podamos tener retornos económicos?. Factor tiempo. Mas solidaridad intergeneracional. Que las futuras generaciones puedan disfrutar de los beneficios creados por los sistemas de bienestar.
23 Qué podemos hacer los científicos? Crear modelos de máxima eficiencia en los sistemas social y sanitario? Por qué?. Porque el gasto en dependencia se ha disparado en los países pertenecientes a los modelos continental y nórdico en EU, pero son países ricos y con una tasa de desempleo sostenible. Pero en países meridionales europeos?. Alto paro juvenil, alta expectativa de vida, alta deuda, alta tasa de dependencia. Corren más riesgo.
24 Que hace Polibienestar? Polibienestar trabaja en modelos sociotécnicos para aumentar la eficiencia en los sistemas sociales y de salud. Desde 2004, trabajamos en el SSHM o MSSS.
