4 OVERVIEW Mission 513th Military Intelligence Brigade conducts intelligence in support of USARCENT/CFLCC full spectrum operations in the CENTCOM AOR to defeat adversaries, promote regional stability, support allies and protect U.S. national interests; the brigade provides additional intelligence support to CENTCOM, EUCOM, SOCOM and other commands as directed.

This task organization reflects our Theater forces and does not include CONUS organization. ASG-Kuwait and ASG-Qatar are both commanded by an Army Colonel. The second row units are our sub-ordinate units. Provides a forward-based, service component command (ASCC) to plan, and on order, conduct land operations across the USCENTCOM AOR. Provides Title 10 support and services to theater ARFOR commands, as well as directed Army support to other services (ASOS). Conducts Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) activities. Supports force rotations, conducts CJRSO, provides theater sustainment and other support as required to forces in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Horn of Africa. 9 Department of State Travel WarningsThere are thirty (30) current travel warnings; thirteen (13) are in the CENTCOM Area of Responsibility Of the world’s 30 active Department of State Travel Warnings, 13 are in our AOR; almost half. If you add the four countries adjacent to our AOR, countries in our Area of Interest, then we have 17 of the 30 countries. (Probably not a good area to plan a vacation) FOR BACKGROUND/ REFERENCE The remaining Department of State Travel Warnings, by Joint Unified Command and country: EUCOM (10): Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza, Liberia, Nigeria PACOM (5): East Timor, Indonesia, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka SOUTHCOM (2): Columbia, Haiti Four (4) Area of Interest Countries are also on the list: -Democratic Republic of the Congo -Central African Republic -Chad -Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza

The support we provide is referred to as “Echelon Above Corps” to differentiate it from the intelligence support provide to Army Corps, Divisions and Brigades. As new technologies are developed, we strive to quickly incorporate or “insert” these technologies into ongoing operations to benefit our deployed Army. INSCOM’s 902nd MI Group provides the full range of CI/CE support to our Army. INSCOM also manages the TROJAN system that provides SCI level connectivity throughout the Army.
