4 The Pillars of success 1 2 3 4 Why Atlas 6.1? FAMILIAR. CONVENIENT.Convergence 2011 12/9/2017 Why Atlas 6.1? The Pillars of success 1 FAMILIAR. With minimal training required, employees can easily blend business data from your CRM system into spreadsheets, s & presentations. 2 CONVENIENT. Allows your employees to work from within the Office system for greater efficiencies & faster results. 3 ACCURATE. Employees can be assured of accurate up-to-date information from CRM. This ensures data is current and eliminates errors caused by rekeying. 4 SECURE. Atlas uses CRM security – therefore only users with the adequate permissions can view, and if permitted, manipulate data. Why did we use Excel and not CRM? Familiarity Excel is familiar to most of us, we have been using it for years, many users need little to no training to use excel. We saw first hand that as we needed more data after our initial high level Account enquiry, and later again in the demo, we simply chose what data we wished to include, placing it in the workbook within any cell of our choice. We also witnessed how easily I could manipulate the data not only the tools contained within Atlas but also using the functions and features that are contained within Excel. Convenient We did not have to log into CRM to then examine the reports that have been created, determining whether or not any of the reports available suited our immediate needs. Yes, there may have been one or two reports already designed for a high level account enquiry, but the likelihood of a single report being readily available for our overall needs is very low; We didn’t have to disturb anyone. Note once did we have to approach a subordinate to ask those ‘how do I’ questions; With our limited to non existent knowledge of how CRM is setup for this business, and limited knowledge of the accounts we manage- we were able to not only quickly identify our accounts, but also gather vital information related to those accounts – everything we did was rather easy and convenient. Accurate Due to the fact ‘we’ did not once have to copy and paste, or use multiple reports, keying the relative information or data into our report - we did not introduce any risk of error. We connected to the true source, therefore we know without doubt that the data is up to date and Accurate. Secure As a data owner, I am very content in allowing my team to use Atlas – why? Because what we just demonstrated was achievable due to the our level of access in Dynamics CRM. In fact, without the appropriate domain credentials you cannot even log into Atlas. Atlas in security compliant and introduces no security risks to any business system or network. Atlas liaises with the security protocol of the system in question, and applies that same security to anyone that attempts to access it. © 2011 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
