19 Rock band from Naucalpan, Mexico. The group gained popularity in the early 1990s. Original name was Café Tacumba; changed their name to Café Tacvba to prevent having to pay royalties to the restaurant where they got their start – Café Tacuba. They incorporate traditional instruments alongside the usual guitars, drums, etc. Their music has been heavily influenced by Mexico’s indigenous population and folk music traditions, most notable the Jarocho style of the state of Veracruz, but also by punk and electronic music and other bands in the Mexico City scene.NaucalpanMexico
