6 alguno / ninguno These match the number and gender of the nouns the replace/modify. Before masculine singular nouns they drop the “o” (algún / ningún) Alguno has 4 forms:algún, alguna, algunos, algunas Ninguno is usually used only in the singular: ningún / ninguna. It is occasionally plural with nouns that are always plural (los pantalones)

7 Las chicas quieren algún postre, pero Carlos no quiere ningún postre. The girls want some dessert, but Carlos doesn’t want any dessert. (not even one dessert) Las chicas compran algunas camisas, pero los chicos no compran ningúna camisa. The girls buy some shirts, but the boys don’t buy any shirts. (not even one shirt)
