3 More Negative ConstructionsWhen the answer to a question is negative, two negative words are required. ¿Habla Ud. francés? Do you speak French? No, no hablo francés. No, I don’t speak French. ¿Siempre estudias? Do you always study? No, nunca estudio. No, I never study. ¿Está Gerardo en la clase? Is Gerardo in class? No, él no está en la clase. No, he’s not in class.
