Brilliant mind: Proficient in 8 languages. Throughout life read Shakespeare in English. Atheist In his later work Freud developed a wide-ranging interpretation and critique of religion and culture. (He was an Atheist)At the University of Vienna studied philosophy, physiology, and zoology under Darwinist professor Carl Claus. Owned, studied and applied Charles Darwin’s evolutionary writings to his medical research. ●●●● Tobacco and Cocaine Freud began smoking tobacco at age 24, changing from cigarettes to cigars. Early in his career Freud also used cocaine. It has been suggested that he developed some of his psychological theories while under the influence of cocaine. Smoke filled room Freud’s writings gained him a number of followers who met regularly to exchange ideas on psychology and psychotherapy. Their conference table held an ample supply of cigars and cigarettes which were consumed in great quantities. Out from these meetings grew Psychoanalytical Societies, which in time became established in all the major cities of the world.  ●●●● Father of psychoanalysis Development of psychoanalysis “In creating psychoanalysis, a clinical method for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst, Freud developed therapeutic techniques such as the use of free association, and discovered transference, establishing its central role in the analytic process. Freud's development of these new theories took place during a period in which he experienced heart irregularities, disturbing dreams and periods of depression, a "neurasthenia" which he linked to the death of his father in 1896 and which prompted a "self-analysis" of his own dreams and memories of childhood. His explorations of his feelings of hostility to his father and rivalrous jealousy over his mother’s affections led him to a fundamental revision of his theory of the origin of the neuroses. In the light of his self-analysis, Freud abandoned the theory that every neurosis can be traced back to the effects of infantile sexual abuse, now arguing that infantile sexual scenarios still had a causative function, but it did not matter whether they were real or imagined and that in either case they became pathogenic only when acting as repressed memories. This transition from the theory of infantile sexual trauma as a general explanation of how all neuroses originate to one that presupposes an autonomous infantile sexuality provided the basis for Freud's subsequent formulation of the theory of the Oedipus complex. Freud described the evolution of his clinical method and set out his theory of the psychogenetic origins of hysteria, demonstrated in a number of case histories. Freud gives detailed interpretations of his own and his patients dreams in terms of wish fulfillment made subject to the repression and censorship of the “dream work”. He then sets out the theoretical model of mental structure (the unconscious, pre-conscious and conscious). In 1905, Freud elaborates his theory of infantile sexuality, describing its "polymorphous perverse" forms and the functioning of the “drives”, to which it gives rise, in the formation of sexual identity. Freud’s redefinition of sexuality to include its infantile forms led him to formulate the Oedipus complex as the central tenet of psychoanalytical theory. His analysis of dreams as wish-fulfillments provided him with models for the clinical analysis of symptom formation and the mechanisms of repression as well as for elaboration of his theory of the unconscious as an agency disruptive of conscious states of mind. Assisted Suicide? Disregarding his doctor’s warning, Freud never stopped smoking tobacco. A small cancer in his mouth, badly treated, progressed to his jaw. By mid-September 1939, Freud's cancer of the jaw was causing him increasingly severe pain and had been declared to be inoperable. He turned to his doctor, reminding him that they had previously discussed the terminal stages of his illness and said, "Schur, you remember our 'contract' not to leave me in the lurch when the time had come. Now it is nothing but torture and makes no sense." When Schur replied that he had not forgotten, Freud said, "I thank you," and then "Talk it over with Anna, and if she thinks it's right, then make an end of it." On September 21 and 22, Dr. Schur administered doses of morphine that resulted in Freud's death on September 23, 1939. The fallacy of Freudian Psychiatry Freud postulated the existence of libido, an energy with which mental processes and structures are invested and which generates erotic attachments, and a death drive, the source of repetition, hate, aggression and neurotic guilt. While rejecting the Creator, equipped only with human intellect, Freud attempted to analyze God’s crowning creation – the human soul. He came to realize the tripartite nature of the soul, but misnamed its three parts: The id, the ego, and The super ego. Id, ego and super-ego The tripartite nature of the soul per Sigmund Freud Freud proposed that the human psyche could be divided into three parts: Id, ego and super-ego. Freud developed this theory as an alternative to his previous topographic schema (i.e., conscious, unconscious and preconscious). The id defined > The id is the completely unconscious, impulsive, childlike portion of the psyche that operates on the "pleasure principle" and is the source of basic impulses. The super-ego defined >The super-ego is the moral component of the psyche, which takes into account no special circumstances in which the morally right thing may not be right for a given situation. (Situational ethics of religious Humanism.) The ego defined >The rational ego attempts to exact a balance between the impractical hedonism of the id and the equally impractical moralism of the super-ego; it is the part of the psyche that is usually reflected most directly in a person's actions. When overburdened or threatened by its tasks, it may employ defense mechanisms including denial, repression, undoing, rationalization, repression, and displacement. This concept is usually represented by the "Iceberg Model". This model represents the roles the Id, Ego, and Super Ego play in relation to conscious and unconscious thought. Freud compared the relationship between the ego and the id to that between a charioteer and his horses: the horses provide the energy and drive, while the charioteer provides direction. Freud also misrepresented the true operations of these three parts-Scripturally named Mind, Emotions, and Will. ●●●● Sigmund Freud’s Legacy Psychoanalysis remains influential within psychotherapy, within some areas of psychiatry, and across the humanities. English naturalist ●●●● ●●●● ●●●● Charles Darwin ( ) Early life, education, and biological research Charles Darwin was born on February 12, 1809, in Shrewsbury, England. His father was a successful doctor, as was his grandfather, Erasmus Darwin, who had a great influence on Charles's later theories. In 1828 Darwin entered Christ's College, Cambridge, England, to become an Anglican minister. Soon, however, he lost interest in the ministry and took up the study of biology instead. Darwin received his bachelor's degree in 1831 and was given the position of naturalist for the second voyage of H. M. S. Beagle to survey the coast of South America. ●●●● During the five year voyage of the Beagle Darwin studied many different plants and animals and collected many specimens, concentrating on location and habits. Darwin believed that certain types of organisms existed only in certain areas and that many organisms had gone through changes that made it easier for them to survive in certain environments. He worried about the problem of plant and animal transport across land and water barriers—for he believed in the importance of isolation for the creation of new species. Development of the Theory of evolution ●●●● In November 1859 Darwin published On the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection, or the Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life. His basic idea was that, in the struggle to survive, some organisms adapt better than others to their surroundings, and when these survivors give birth they pass their traits on to their offspring. We know this is true as an improvement in a particular specie. (illustrate – By “intelligent design” animal breeders have created a great variety of dogs from a small parental stock; but no member of the dog family has ever “evolved“ into a new specie which is not a dog) But Darwin believed this process would evolve, not only in an improvement in the particular specie, but into a totally different specie, i.e. a dog could evolve into a cat, etc. This theory has not, cannot be proven. Yet the ignorant keep trying. They did not become irreligious, however, they simply adopted a new religion, the religion of Humanism. (There is no such thing as a human being that has no religion.) In 1859 there were countless wannabe Atheists waiting for a doctrine that would allow them to free themselves from that inescapable sensation that there is a God to be worshipped, served, and given account to. ( Evolution was that doctrine that, in their mind, justified their final, total rejection of God. ●●●● – Repentance? Darwin knew his Bible and, for many months, while lying upon his deathbed, avidly read the Book of Hebrews. Reading that Book caused him to exclaim, “Christ Jesus and his salvation. Is not that the best theme?” Darwin believed in the Creator, affirming, “There is a grandeur in this view of life, with its several powers, having been originally breathed by the Creator into a few forms or into one.” According to Darwin himself it was his followers who put the atheistic spin to his theory of evolution. Darwin wrote: “I am well aware, that scarcely a single point is discussed in this volume on which facts cannot be adduced, often apparently leading to conclusions directly opposite to those at which I arrived I was a young man with unformed ideas. I threw out queries, suggestions, wondering all the time over everything; and to my astonishment the ideas took like wildfire. People made a religion of them.” Those who made a religion of Darwin’s theory were the nineteenth century rationalists, looking for a doctrinal excuse to slide into total man-worship: “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.” (Romans 1:21 NIV) Thus, as often happens, the mind-ramblings of a good man have brought evil upon mankind. “The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones. William Shakespeare Charles Darwin’s Legacy  ●●●● ●●●● ●●●● Herbert Spencer An English sociologist named Herbert Spencer, a follower of Charles Darwin, taught that social change is also evolving, not changed by willful acts of people. It was Spencer who coined the term “survival of the fittest” in defining Darwin’s theory of evolution. Darwin’s theories, including the concept of “survival of the fittest,” no doubt inspired Hitler’s madness, Nazi Germany’s obsession with their supposed superior Aryan race, and their view of Jews and other races as sub-human. It is fair to say then, that Darwin contributed to World War II, the extermination of 6 million Jews, and the killing of some 50 million people in the madness of war. Manifesto I: Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as the result of a continuous process. The Liberator: The “continuous process,” — sometimes called the Theory of Evolution — was advanced by Charles Darwin, the English biologist. The theory goes something like this: Anyway, (so the theory of evolution goes) this molecule of self-created life formed itself into a living cell, and — over a period of millions and millions more years — changed itself into a variety of many-celled living organisms. After millions upon millions more years, one of these self-created organisms crawled out of the primordial soup onto dry land. Hundreds of millions of years ago — too far distant in ages past to prove anything — a molecule of dead matter, in a pool of primordial soup, sprang to life all by itself. Whence came the dead matter and the primordial soup? Darwin could not tell. How the primordial soup changed itself into the total environment of land, water, and air, friendly to the human species, Darwin could not tell. Anyway, according to Darwin’s speculation, one of these land creatures, over a period of many more millions of years changed itself into an intermediate being, similar to an ape; and, this being, in progressive stages, changed itself into modern man — all by itself. A Monstrous Hoax Although lauded as scientific reasoning, the whole concept of evolution is a monstrous hoax. The absurdity of the concept is proven by an indispensable axiom of scientific discovery — the law of cause and effect. In true science — physical, social, or political — every existing condition, good or evil, must have had a creating cause. True scientific research is simply the process of discovering that creating cause. Good scientific development is simply curing an evil condition, or taking existing materials at hand and creating goods and services to meet the needs of an existing condition. The evolutionists’ primary design is to destroy opposition to their agenda. (If conditions are evolving and not created by willful acts, then it must follow that the end results are inevitable and irresistible. In which case, all opposition might just as well surrender to the evolutionists’ will.) So what is the truth of the matter? Simply this: The evolutionary process does not exist. All existing conditions — biological, physical, social, and political — did not evolve. They were caused by willful acts. In a word, these conditions were created, not evolved. So, how did the first life form come into being? What was it made of and where did that substance come from? When was there nothing that became something, and how? Again, our limited human mind is standing at the threshold of faith. Every human being must accept some things by faith, or become mindless of them. It belongs to We the People, not to any government functionary. As opposed to Statutory Law, Common Law, derived from the English common law, is in fact judge-made law, built upon one or more court decisions. But one judicial despot, Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, seriously erred when he wrote , “There is no law but judge-made law.” There is, indeed, Statutory Law that is created every time a law-making body, - city council, county government, state legislature, or the Congress of the United States – writes an ordinance or a law. Furthermore, no judge or court of law can legally and justly revise or repeal it, although they are doing it and getting away with it. They get away with it because the fundamental principles of democratic republican government, and the division of governmental powers between three branches of government – Legislative, Executive, and Judicial are not generally understood. The judge does, however, have the responsibility to decide on the constitutionality of any law made by a law-making body and to refer it back to the law-making body to repeal, revise, or challenge the judge in higher courts. Final authority for constitutionality of law rests with the Congress of the United States, which alone has the power to make laws “pursuant to the Constitution.” No person should ever be elected to Congress who does not thoroughly understand these principles, and has the will to enforce Congress’ Constitutional duty to restrain presidents and federal judges within their Constitutional bounds. Congress are the People. They are not on their own to abdicate the government of these United States to the President and/or federal judges. This they have done; and presidents and federal judges have most willingly accepted unconstitutional powers handed over to them. So what is the Constitutional function of federal judges. It is to know the Constitution thoroughly; to swear to faithfully uphold it; to honor it as Statutory Law, not common law, and to interpret it expertly, truthfully, and unselfishly. It is to be interpreters of the law, not makers of the law. It is to hear cases that raise questions as to their Constitutionality, and none other. For decades many federal judges, perhaps the majority, have been in gross violation of these precepts. Through the last half of the twentieth century and now into the twenty-first, federal judges, taking their cue from Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes, have adjudicated by the common law, building their cases upon the decisions of court decisions of the past. This is a violation of the Constitution which they are sworn to uphold. This is grounds for impeachment, which Congress has the Constitutional power but not the will power to do. If this were the end of it, perhaps no great harm done. But when the Supreme Court announces a decision, often by the swing vote of just one judge, The Court, The President, The Congress, and because of ignorance of these matters, The People accept this decision as “the law of the Land.” The Judge has just unconstitutionally “legislated from the bench,” usurping Congress’ sole power to enact laws “pursuant to the Constitution.” And Congress which has impeachment power over the judges - either by ignorance or dereliction of duty - does nothing. Radical political Activist Expelled from France, Belgium, and Germany. It was difficult for Marx to find publishers because of his radical political views, so he moved to Cologne, which was known to house a strong liberal opposition movement. In Cologne Marx met Moses Hess, a radical who organized socialist meetings, which Marx attended. At these meetings Marx learned of the struggles of the German working-class. Based on the information he gathered from the members present at the meetings, Marx wrote an article on the poverty of the Mosel wine-farmers in which he was highly critical of the government. When the article was published in 1843, the Prussian authorities threatened Marx with his arrest. Marx married his fiancé and they fled together to Paris. Here he met Bruno Bauer, and the Russian anarchist Michael Bakunin, and his life-long friend Friedrich Engels, who with Marx co-authored The Communist Manifesto. While in Paris, Marx became a communist, and worked primarily on studying political economy and the history of the French Revolution. In several papers Marx contrasted capitalist society, and an alienated nature of labor, with communist society, in which human beings in cooperative production supposedly develop their nature freely. In 1844 Marx reviewed Bruno Bauer's book On the Jewish Question and used the article to critique the continued influence of religion over politics, and proposed a revolutionary change to the structure of European society. (i.e., communism). Settled in England which had already produced and accepted Darwin. In 1845 Marx was expelled from France. He fled with Friedrich Engels to Brussels where they stayed for three years with intermittent trips to England to visit Engels' family who had cotton-spinning interests in Manchester. Marx joined the Communist League at this time, which was an organization of German immigrant workers centered in London. ●●●● The Communist Manifesto Marx and Engels became the major theoretical force of the League, and at a conference in 1847 they were commissioned to write a declaration of the League's position. The hope was that (The Communist Manifesto) would inspire social revolution, and no sooner was it published than the 1848 revolutions broke out across Europe. This work marks a turn in Marx's writing from appealing to natural rights as justification for social reform, to indicating that the laws of history would inevitably lead to the power of the working class. The Manifesto distinguishes communism from other movements, proposes specific social reforms, and includes a description of the struggles between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie. It also explicitly encourages workers to unite in revolution against the existing regimes. The panic caused by the February revolution of 1848 caused the Belgian government to expel Marx from Brussels. Marx had to return to Paris, but he was expelled again immediately, and moved on to London, which would be his final home. In London Marx rejoined with the Communist League, confident that there would be further revolutionary action in Europe. ●●●● Das Kapital By 1857 Marx had written an 800-page manuscript which was to become Das Kapital (Capital). Although Marx's health rapidly declined during the last ten years of his life, he still paid close attention to contemporary politics, especially concerning Germany and Russia. 11 Stanley Ann Dunham and her first husbandTell Background Story The Congregationalists were the descendants of the Puritans which had established the New England Colonies a century before the American Revolution. That Church produced many stalwarts among America’s Founding Fathers- such as John Hancock, Paul Revere, John Adam, his son John Quincy, and many others including Samuel Adams, “The Father of the Revolution.” These sparked the revolt that set the American colonies free from monarchial tyranny and established the United States of America. But our story takes a turn for the worse. Soon after the Founding Fathers established our great nation, reprobates took over Harvard University (also founded by the Congregationalists) departed from the Faith, and changed the Congregationalists into the Unitarians, the apostate religion that it is today, still hypocritically bearing the name of Christianity. The apostate Unitarians , in the name of Christianity, often show up to protest at Evangelical Christian rallies. They are often co-plaintiffs in the Supreme Court’s War against Christianity. December 7, 1941 Japanese warplanes attacked U. S. naval vessels in Honolulu harbor, hoping to knock out our naval power in the Pacific. The United States enters World War II. That same year, either before December 7 or very shortly thereafter, a young man left his home in Kansas and joined the U.S. Army. November 29, 1942, a baby girl was born to this soldier and his young wife. They named her Stanley Ann Dunham after her father. Is that not a beautiful young family. Could be their picture in any church directory. Except for your own precious babies, did you ever see a more beautiful little girl? The hallway between Foubert’s and Wichterman’s classrooms was some times called ‘anarchy ally.’ ‘Stanley Ann Dunham thrived in the environment,” Wichterman said, "As much as a high-school student can, she'd question anything: What's so good about democracy? Dunham has been described by her friends as ‘a fellow traveler’ meaning ‘a communist sympathizer.’ While flirting with Atheism, Stanley Ann attended meetings at East Shore Unitarian church; located in Bellevue, Washington. This “church” was nicknamed “the little red church,” because of its communist inclination. In 1960, Stanley Dunham moved his family to Hawaii. Stanley Ann would turn 18 in November of that year. When Stanley Ann arrived in Hawaii , she was a full fledged radical leftist and practitioner of critical theory. She also began to engage in miscegenation (inter-racial relationships) as part of her attack on society. January, 1961, Stanley Ann Dunham is already two months pregnant. She needs a husband and he must be black. Just 7 months after marrying Barrack Hussein Obama, Sr., Stanley Ann abandoned her husband. Barack, Jr. apparently was only a few days old when she traveled with him from Hawaii to Seattle. On the contrary, Ann Dunham's transcript from the University of Washington shows she continued to take classes there through the spring term 1962, which suggests she not only abandoned Barack Obama Sr. in Hawaii, but also that she remained in Seattle to continue her studies there well into 1962. Stuart Lau, registrar at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, confirmed that Dunham attended the fall term 1960, and did not resume studies at that university until the spring term Lau also confirmed that Barack Obama Sr. attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa from the fall term 1959 through the spring term 1962. 15 Community Development – Chicago South SideWhy America is Dying Community Development – Chicago South Side Greg Galluzo Jerry Kellman Mike Kruglik The School of Communist Saul Alinsky “Community development” by Alinsky’s definition means locating a community of “have-nots,” listening to their problems until you can speak their language, “rubbing raw” their resentments, then organizing them into political action for “change.” For black theologians, white Americans do not have the ability to recognize the humanity in persons of color, blacks need their own theology to affirm their identity in terms of a reality that is anti-black -- “blackness” stands for all victims of white oppression. "White theology," when formed in isolation from the black experience, becomes a theology of white oppressors, serving as divine sanction from criminal acts committed against blacks. Cone argues that even those white theologians who try to connect theology to black suffering rarely utter a word that is relevant to the black experience in America. White theology is not Christian theology at all. There is but one guiding principle of black theology: an unqualified commitment to the black community as that community seeks to define its existence in the light of God's liberating work in the world. American white theology, which Cone never clearly defines, is charged with having failed to help blacks in the struggle for liberation. Black theology exists because "white religionists" failed to relate the gospel of Jesus to the pain of being black in a white racist society. As such, black theology is a survival theology because it helps blacks navigate white dominance in American culture. In Cone's view, whites consider blacks animals, outside of the realm of humanity, and attempted to destroy black identity through racial assimilation and integration programs--as if blacks have no legitimate existence apart from whiteness. Black theology is the theological expression of a people deprived of social and political power. God is not the God of white religion but the God of black existence. In Cone's understanding, truth is not objective but subjective -- a personal experience of the Ultimate in the midst of degradation. The echoes of Cone's theology bleed through the now infamous, anti-Hilary excerpt by Rev. Wright. Clinton is among the oppressing class ("rich white people") and is incapable of understanding oppression ("ain't never been called a n-gg-r") but Jesus knows what it was like because he was "a poor black man" oppressed by "rich white people." While Black Liberation Theology is not main stream in most black churches, many pastors in Wright's generation are burdened by Cone's categories which laid the foundation for many to embrace Marxism and a distorted self-image of the perpetual "victim." Black Liberation Theology actually encourages a victim mentality among blacks. John McWhorters' book Losing the Race, will be helpful here. Victimology, says McWhorter, is the adoption of victimhood as the core of one's identity -- for example, like one who suffers through living in "a country and who lived in a culture controlled by rich white people." It is a subconscious, culturally inherited affirmation that life for blacks in America has been in the past and will be in the future a life of being victimized by the oppression of whites. In today's terms, it is the conviction that, 40 years after the Civil Rights Act, conditions for blacks have not substantially changed. As Wright intimates, for example, scores of black men regularly get passed over by cab drivers. One of the tasks of black theology, says Cone, is to analyze the nature of the gospel of Jesus Christ in light of the experience of oppressed blacks. For Cone, no theology is Christian theology unless it arises from oppressed communities and interprets Jesus' work as that of liberation. Christian theology is understood in terms of systemic and structural relationships between two main groups: victims (the oppressed) and victimizers (oppressors). In Cone's context, writing in the late 1960s and early 1970s, the great event of Christ's liberation was freeing African Americans from the centuries-old tyranny of white racism and white oppression. McWhorter articulates three main objections to victimology: First, victimology condones weakness in failure. Victimology tacitly stamps approval on failure, lack of effort, and criminality. Behaviors and patterns that are self-destructive are often approved of as cultural or presented as unpreventable consequences from previous systemic patterns. Black Liberation theologians are clear on this point: "People are poor because they are victims of others," says Dr. Dwight Hopkins, a Black Liberation theologian teaching at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Second, victimology hampers progress because, from the outset, it focuses attention on obstacles. For example, in Black liberation Theology, the focus is on the impediment of black freedom in light of the Goliath of white racism. Third, victimology keeps racism alive because many whites are constantly painted as racist with no evidence provided. Racism charges create a context for backlash and resentment fueling new attitudes among whites not previously held or articulated, and creates "separatism" -- a suspension of moral judgment in the name of racial solidarity. Does Jeremiah Wright foster separatism or racial unity and reconciliation? Reducing black identity to "victimhood" distorts the reality of true progress. For example, was Obama a victim of widespread racial oppression at the hand of "rich white people" before graduating from Columbia University, Harvard Law School magna cum laude, or after he acquired his estimated net worth of $1.3 million? How did "rich white people" keep Obama from succeeding? If Obama is the model of an oppressed black man, I want to be oppressed next! With my graduate school debt my net worth is literally negative $52,659. The overall result, says McWhorter, is that "the remnants of discrimination hold an obsessive indignant fascination that allows only passing acknowledgement of any signs of progress." Jeremiah Wright, infused with victimology, wielded self-righteous indignation in the service of exposing the inadequacies Hilary Clinton's world of "rich white people." The perpetual creation of a racial identity born out of self-loathing and anxiety often spends more time inventing reasons to cry racism than working toward changing social mores, and often inhibits movement toward reconciliation and positive mobility. This will be a long haul indeed. The radical train will have to be stopped cold, put in reverse, and backed up, clearing the tracks all the way back from despotic government, back through Humanist academia, and all other institutions of communication and influence; until it reaches the rail yard, where it had been switched onto the rails headed toward certain train wreck. Then clear the rails, repair the roadbed, reverse the switch, and send our great American train full steam ahead on her original course that had made her free, that had made her good. Can we do it? You bet, we can. With God’s help we can. To save America - to match and overcome the radical movement – a “community development” movement in the middle class, separate from a political party, has been made necessary: a movement to “rub raw” our resentment of our government’s use, abuse, and abandonment of middle America; until We the People wake up and bring the runaway radical loco motive to a screeching halt. In the 1960s, black churches began to focus their attention beyond helping blacks cope with national racial discrimination particularly in urban areas. Black theology is a theology of black liberation. It seeks to plumb the black condition in the light of God's revelation in Jesus Christ, so that the black community can see that the gospel is commensurate with the achievements of black humanity. Black theology is a theology of 'blackness.' It is the affirmation of black humanity that emancipates black people from White racism, thus providing authentic freedom for both white and black people. It affirms the humanity of white people in that it says 'No' to the encroachment of white oppression. The notion of "blackness" is not merely a reference to skin color, but rather is a symbol of oppression that can be applied to all persons of color who have a history of oppression (except whites, of course). So in this sense, as Wright notes, "Jesus was a poor black man" because he lived in oppression at the hands of "rich white people." The overall emphasis of Black Liberation Theology is the black struggle for liberation from various forms of "white racism" and oppression. James Cone, the chief architect of Black Liberation Theology in his book A Black Theology of Liberation (1970), develops black theology as a system. In this new formulation, Christian theology is a theology of liberation -- "a rational study of the being of God in the world in light of the existential situation of an oppressed community, relating the forces of liberation to the essence of the gospel, which is Jesus Christ," writes Cone. Black consciousness and the black experience of oppression orient black liberation theology -- i.e., one of victimization from white oppression. In this interdisciplinary, biblical critique of the black experience in America, Anthony Bradley introduces audiences to black liberation theology and its spiritual and social impact. He starts with James Cone's proposition that the "victim" mind-set is inherent within black consciousness. Bradley then explores how such biblical misinterpretation has historically hindered black churches in addressing the diverse issues of their communities and prevented adherents from experiencing the freedoms of the gospel. Yet Liberating Black Theology does more than consider the ramifications of this belief system; it suggests an alternate approach to the black experience that can truly liberate all Christ-followers. What is Black Liberation Theology anyway? Barack Obama's former pastor, Jeremiah Wright catapulted black liberation theology onto a national stage, when America discovered Trinity United Church of Christ. Understanding the background of the movement might give better clarity into Wright's recent vitriolic preaching. A clear definition of black theology was first given formulation in 1969 by the National Committee of Black Church Men in the midst of the civil-rights movement: by Anthony B. Bradley But in the process let us not forget:  some people groups have real and legitimate complaints which need to be addressed and corrected by We the People; never by a confrontational radical minority hellbent to steal the process and force its will on the majority. Apparently reports about Obama’s work in Harlem reached Jerry Kellman, a community organizer in Chicago. It was Jerry Kellman who put an ad in the New York Times about an organizing position in the Chicago area. Barack responded; Jerry interviewed him and offered him a position. Barack accepted. Almost at this very time, Jerry propositioned an old friend of his to return to Chicago from Texas and work with him in this new organizing venture. His friend was Mike Kruglik. ●●●● Picture Kruglik Jerry Kellman, Mike Kruglik, and Gregory Galluzzo - three radicals of the Saul Alinsky school – according to Obama were “trying to convert the black churches of Chicago’s South Side into agents of social change.” However, they were being met with suspicion by the black pastors because the three were white and two of them were Jewish. They needed a black organizer to head the project and Obama was recruited for the job. He turned out to be the perfect choice to head Kellman’s Developing Communities Project. For Black Liberation theologians, Sunday is uniquely tied to redefining their sense of being human within a context of marginalization. "Black people who have been humiliated and oppressed by the structures of White society six days of the week gather together each Sunday morning in order to experience another definition of their humanity," says James Cone in his book Speaking the Truth (1999). Many black theologians believe that both racism and socio-economic oppression continue to augment the fragmentation between whites and blacks. Historically speaking, it makes sense that black theologians would struggle with conceptualizing social justice and the problem of evil as it relates to the history of colonialism and slavery in the Americas. Is Black Liberation Theology helping? Wright's liberation theology has stirred up resentment, backlash, Obama defections, separatism, white guilt, caricature, and offense. Preaching to a congregation of middle-class blacks about their victim identity invites a distorted view of reality, fosters nihilism, and divides rather than unites. Black Liberation Is Marxist Liberation One of the pillars of Obama's home church, Trinity United Church of Christ, is "economic parity." On the website, Trinity claims that God is not pleased with "America's economic mal-distribution." Among all of controversial comments by Jeremiah Wright, the idea of massive wealth redistribution is the most alarming. The code language "economic parity" and references to "mal-distribution" is nothing more than channeling the twisted economic views of Karl Marx. Black Liberation theologians have explicitly stated a preference for Marxism as an ethical framework for the black church because Marxist thought is predicated on a system of oppressor class (whites) versus victim class (blacks). Black Liberation theologians James Cone and Cornel West have worked diligently to embed Marxist thought into the black church since the 1970s. For Cone, Marxism best addressed remedies to the condition of blacks as victims of white oppression. In For My People, Cone explains that "the Christian faith does not possess in its nature the means for analyzing the structure of capitalism. Marxism as a tool of social analysis can disclose the gap between appearance and reality, and thereby help Christians to see how things really are." In God of the Oppressed, Cone said that Marx's chief contribution is "his disclosure of the ideological character of bourgeois thought, indicating the connections between the 'ruling material force of society' and the 'ruling intellectual' force." Marx's thought is useful and attractive to Cone because it allows black theologians to critique racism in America on the basis of power and revolution. For Cone, integrating Marx into black theology helps theologians see just how much social perceptions determine theological questions and conclusions. Moreover, these questions and answers are "largely a reflection of the material condition of a given society." In 1979, Cornel West offered a critical integration of Marxism and black theology in his essay, "Black Theology and Marxist Thought" because of the shared human experience of oppressed peoples as victims. West sees a strong correlation between black theology and Marxist thought because "both focus on the plight of the exploited, oppressed and degraded peoples of the world, their relative powerlessness and possible empowerment." This common focus prompts West to call for "a serious dialogue between Black theologians and Marxist thinkers" -- a dialogue that centers on the possibility of "mutually arrived-at political action." In his book Prophesy Deliverance, West believes that by working together, Marxists and black theologians can spearhead much-needed social change for those who are victims of oppression. He appreciates Marxism for its "notions of class struggle, social contradictions, historical specificity, and dialectical developments in history" that explain the role of power and wealth in bourgeois capitalist societies. A common perspective among Marxist thinkers is that bourgeois capitalism creates and perpetuates ruling-class domination -- which, for black theologians in America, means the domination and victimization of blacks by whites. America has been over run by "White racism within mainstream establishment churches and religious agencies," writes West. Perhaps it is the Marxism imbedded in Obama's attendance at Trinity Church that should raise red flags. "Economic parity" and "distribution" language implies things like government-coerced wealth redistribution, perpetual minimum wage increases, government subsidized health care for all, and the like. One of the priorities listed on Obama's campaign website reads, "Obama will protect tax cuts for poor and middle class families, but he will reverse most of the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest taxpayers." Black Liberation Theology, originally intended to help the black community, may have actually hurt many blacks by promoting racial tension, victimology, and Marxism which ultimately leads to more oppression. As the failed "War on Poverty" has exposed, the best way to keep the blacks perpetually enslaved to government as "daddy" is to preach victimology, Marxism, and to seduce blacks into thinking that upward mobility is someone else's responsibility in a free society. ●●●● Obama’s Religion ●●●● Next slide For additional study: Gamaliel and the Barrack Obama Connection by Gregory A. Gregory Galluzzo, a former Jesuit priest, is the Executive Director of the Gamaliel Foundation. In 1980 Galluzzo co-founded, along with his wife Mary Gonzalez, a Chicago Latino activist organization called the United Neighborhood Organization (UNO). Today, Ms. Gonzalez is the Gamaliel Foundation’s Director of Western Territory. UNO, also modeled after Alinsky’s methods, is known for using aggressive organizing and confrontational tactics to push for change.” Jerry Kellman, Mike Kruglik, and Gregory Galluzzo – add three more radicals to Obama’s carefully chosen friends and associates. Chicago Southside Prior to World War I, African-Americans had migrated from Southern states to Chicago’s South Side and established a ghetto there not much different from the conditions they had left behind. There they experienced more racial hatred and discrimination than they had suffered in the South. During the Civil Rights marches of the 1960’s, the Reverend Martin Luther King, referring to his experiences in Chicago, found “that the hatred and hostility here are really deeper than what I have seen in Alabama and Mississippi.” Such a thing could happen only because, for the last two generations, God has been expelled from public schools and the federal government made America’s Schoolmaster. Although Saul Alinsky died before Obama arrived at Chicago’s South Side, it is correct to add Saul Alinsky to Obama’s carefully chosen friends and mentors, because of Obama’s political views, methods, and actions. Incidentally, Obama’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton clearly studied Saul Alinsky while at Wellesley College. Her senior thesis at Wellesley has been called “a 75 page salute to Alinsky.” It should be understood that Obama was never a part of the “have-nots,” that he organizes for political gain. He was educated in Hawaii in a posh private school, never suffered racial discrimination of any kind, and graduated Harvard Law School. Even so, he like Alinsky would never allow himself to become any part of the American middle class. Obama, like Alinsky, is simply an elitist using the “have nots” as political pawns for his political ambitions, and for his agenda for social and political “change.” Should these people re-elect Obama in 2012, Alinsky’s “change” may have been successfully completed to the point of no return. This study has revealed this unmistakable truth: The radical takeover and transformation of our once free self-governing republic is a well-organized, well-funded, anti-American movement. It is funded in part by taxpayers through federal grants to radical foundations. It goes about its subversive activity non-stop, with paid political professionals. It finds its home mostly in the Democrat Party; but it does not depend on a political party for political indoctrination, agitation, and action. Its motivational force comes from elsewhere. Middle America, on the other hand is preoccupied with home and family, business, and church as usual. It depends primarily on the Republican Party to protect their republic from enemies within. This approach has been tried and failed. It cannot match the political power of the radical movement, which is essentially a well meaning, albeit misinformed and misdirected’ movement of a small minority of We the People. 24 To all who Believe in Salvation by Grace through Faith in Jesus ChristWe are on a sinking Titanic, and the Church Band plays on. Your federal government has declared War against Christianity and is literally tearing the Christian foundation from under our once free self-governing republic. Government will not change. Degeneration into tyranny is its inherent nature. If this process continues, the collapse of our God-given liberties is as sure as the sun rises tomorrow. The fools that rule (The fool has said in his heart there is no God. Psalms 14:1) – if they have their way, we will someday be required to endure the Gospel according to Uncle Sam, or go underground as Christians have been forced to do under despotic Communist, Humanist, and Islamic governments around the world. Ordaining homosexuals for ministry, when such practice is clearly identified as an abomination is the sight of God in Romans Chapter One. Allowing popular fads into the Church, such as the Judaizing movement, when Judaizing of Christians has been thoroughly refuted by the teaching of Paul the Apostle. Judaizing is a fad at best and dangerous if carried too far. It can cause one to fall from grace. 33 Christian Stewardship – Managing all things of and for the Lord Jesus ChristFirst to One’s personal relationship to Christ: Worship; Prayer; Praise; Bible study; Witnesses unto Christ at every opportunity; Good works in Jesus name. Second to Church, the Body of Christ: Assembling together with other believers; Attending to one’s assigned ministry in a local church; Financial support for furtherance of the Gospel, locally and around the world. Third to “Caesar” that which is “Caesar’s:” Pay taxes; Obey every ordinance of man unless they violate the laws of God - meaning support“Caesar’s”administration of God’s civil government. Fourth to God the things that are God’s, including his Civil government: Follow the example of America’s Christian Founding Fathers: (1) Every Christian School, Bible School, Seminary, and University, educating men and women in Constitutional law, civil government, and public affairs as well as gospel ministry. These schools must be independent of government control and separate from existing secular institutions of learning. (2) Christian or ministerial associations in every principality to identify, interview, recruit, and support genuine, born again, God-fearing candidates for public office. (3) An army of Christian campaign workers to get this kind of candidates in public office. But it only required God’s blessing, then educating our youth and inspiring them to get it done. The great crying need in Century 21 is electing U.S. Senators and Representatives who are determined to undo the despotic damages done by Presidents and the Supreme Court, and who are determined to restore Constitutional division or powers in our federal government. This process starts at the bottom with you and me, then corporately by the whole body of Christ. Twenty percent of Evangelicals did not vote in the presidential elections. One third of Evangelical voters voted for Obama. One half of Catholic voters voted for Obama. Seventy percent of Hispanic and Black voters vote Democrat whoever the presidential candidate. Most voters are poorly informed, depending mainly of political campaign rhetoric, political party loyalty, or the candidate’s ad men. ●●●● Next slide
