3 Alliance Parent Leadership Academy is a special workshop series designed to engage parents as partners and build their capacity to support their child academically. 6 Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation [BLAST]  Alliance is a blended learning organization where all schools purposefully use technology as a tool to differentiate and personalize instruction, increase academic rigor, and build student ownership of learning.  Alianza es un organización de aprendizaje combinado, donde todas las escuelas utilizan deliberadamente la tecnología como una herramienta para diferencias y personalizar la instrucción, aumentar el rigor académico, y fomentar la apropoación del aprendizaje del estudiante.

7 Achieve 3000  This is a computer-based test given 3 times per year [pre, interim, and post] to students in grades 6-12 Alliance wide to asses their Lexile reading levels. Achieve 3000 provides non- fictional literacy content aligned to the Common Core Standards. It is differentiated for each student’s Lexile reading levels. The program focuses on reading comprehension and vocabulary development instruction and assessment.  Esta es una prueba computarizada dado 3 veces por año [antes, durante, y después] a los estudiantes en los grados 6-12 en toda la Alianza para evaluar sus niveles de lectura Lexile. Achieve 3000 proporciona contenido alfabetización no ficción alineado l las Normas Estatales Comunes. Se diferencia de los niveles de lectura Lexile de cada estudiante. 8 Alliance Learning & Leadership Initiatives, ALLI (formerly known as The College-Ready Promise, TCRP) Blended Learning for Alliance School Transformation (BLAST) First Year Implementation of Common Core State Standards Initiative New CA Testing Program & Alliance Testing Standards Based Grading - The observation and coaching of teachers using a framework for effective teaching (6 observations each year) - BLAST is an integrated technology educational model that integrates technology (and digital curricula) into the classroom, making learning more relevant, personalized, and dynamic. -All Alliance schools are now considered BLAST schools. A set academic standards (learning goals- what a student should know and be able to do) in Mathematics and English language arts/literacy (ELA) to ensure that all students graduate from high school with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in college, career, and life. -Smarter Balanced (online) grades 8 and 11 ELA/Math -California Standards Test CSTs (paper) grades 8 and 10 Science -Achieve3000 -Grades are based on whether or not a student is meeting academic content standards. - A new grading system will be used this year.
