New Approach: Engage All in Innovation Make it Cool The Maker Movement

Build it? What are the Networks?

Convene through Maker Faireand FIRST Robotics

Need Broad Community Support

Think it. Make it. I can do that

We live in a rapidly changing multicultural economy withsystems morphing into new ones, chaos, overconsumption, and climate shift

As we struggle to regain our status as a world maker“What Trenton Makes, The World Takes” Our standard of living is challenged

While we have challenges stimulatingcreativity and innovation

We tend to teach and learn in silos

And THIS is considered cool

And the gap widens Degree growth

However for us to be competitivewe need: Creators Innovators Entrepreneurs Thinkers Leaders Creative Scientists and Engineers…

That expands the traditional focus

And youth that say, “I can do that”

Our innovation is not new“if you can imagine it, you can make it happen”

There is an event called a Maker Faire

Where arts and science merge

To engage communities to innovateMaker Faire is the premier event for grassroots American innovation. As the World's Largest DIY Festival, this two-day family friendly Faire has something for everyone - a showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness and a celebration of the Maker mindset.
