2 Al lado de – next to Estoy al lado de mi carro favorito. I am next to my favorite car.

3 Allá- there ¿El carro está allá? Is the car there?

4 Aquí - here No, no está aquí.  No she’s not here.

5 La biblioteca - library Ellos están en la biblioteca.  They are in the library.

6 La casa – house/home Mi casa es su casa.  My home is your home.

7 El centro - downtown Estoy en el centro.  I’m downtown.

8 Cerca de - near No vayas cerca del fuego. Don’t get near the fire.

9 El cine – movie theater Luego va el cine para ver una película.  Next he’s going to the theater to watch a movie.

10 El correo – post office Necesito ir al correo. I need to go to the post office.

11 Dónde - where ¿Dónde estás? Where are you?

12 Debajo de – under/beneath La pluma está debajo del escritorio. The pen is beneath the desk.

13 Encima de – on top of ¿Estás encima de la cama?  Are you on top of the bed?

14 Estar – to be Yo quiero estar en la escuela.  I want to be in school.

15 El gimnasio - gym El gimnasio es un buen lugar para ir.  The gym is a cool place to go.

16 Lejos de – far from Yo estoy lejos de donde yo comencé.  I’m far from where I started.

17 Nosotros/Nosotras - we Sí, nosotros bailamos con un grupo de baile. o Yes, we dance with a dance troupe.

18 El parque - park Al parque yo voy.  To the park I go.

19 El paseo – walk/stroll Dando un paseo es saludable.  Taking a walk is healthy.

20 El supermercado - supermarket El necesita ir al supermercado.  He needs to go to the supermarket.

21 La tienda – store ¿Compras zapatos de una tienda? Do you buy shoes from a store?

22 El trabajo – work/job Está en el trabajo.  She’s at work.

23 Usted – you (formal) Hola usted.  Hi you.

24 Ustedes – you (plural, informal) ¿Bailan ustedes antes de regresar a casa?  Do you dance before returning home?
