8 Industry Connections The mineral rich states of Odisha and Chhattisgarh can rightly claim to be the growth destinations in these parts of the country. It already has a large number of Independent Power Producers while many more are on the anvil. Besides, it has some of the largest Aluminium Smelters in the world, along with a large number of steel producers. The requirement for continuous and reliable process power for these industries is immense. This naturally leads to the requirement of large quantum of power production and the handling and channelling of the same. This is where EMPOWERTRANS has been meeting the needs of the power producing as well as power dependent companies of the region. To extend the range of its services EMPOWERTRANS has now focussed its attention to the Central Transmission Utilities (CTUs) as well as sate transmission agencies to broaden its reach across the country as well.

9 The EPTL Advantage…. EPTL is able to deliver in a cost effective manner, being a lean and trim company, believing in optimal use of resources and balancing committed “in house” resources with dedicated outsourced ones. In the matter of knowhow also, while EPTL boasts of experienced “in-house” experts in its core business areas, it also has networked associations with specialists in other areas. With such a setup, and the excellent connections with large corporates as well as central PSUs, it is an opportune scenario for EPTL to serve other companies planning to enter the power generation scene. Its recent forays into new technological applications for transmission Lines gives it an added edge.
