4  Nuestro centro cuenta con una nueva biblioteca de amplias dimensiones, luminosidad y espacios idóneos para el uso y disfrute de toda la comunidad educativa.  Se inauguró el curso 2008/2009.  Nuestra labor de dinamización de bibliotecas escolares fue reconocida con el Premio Nacional de Bibliotecas Escolares en 2007  Our school has a large library, full of brightness and spaces suitable for all the educational community usage  It was inaugurated during the school year 2008/2009  Our enlivening work of school libraries was rewarded obtaining a National Award in School Libraries in 2007. 7  Horario de apertura de 9:10 a 13:15.  Un/a profesor/a del equipo de biblioteca cada hora realiza las funciones de bibliotecario.  Cada alumno/a puede llevarse tres libros en préstamos durante 15 días prorrogables.  La gestión de bibliotecas se realiza a través del programa ABIES, siendo todo el proceso informatizado.  Opening times from 9:10 to 13:15.  One teacher from the library group works as librarian everyhour.  Any student can borrow up to three books for 15 extendable days.  School libraries are managed by the computer management application ABIES. 8  El funcionamiento de nuestra biblioteca escolar es similar al de cualquier biblioteca pública. Seguimos el sistema de catalogación universal ( CDU).  El alta de los lectores (alumnos, profesores y personal no docente) se realiza a través del Programa Abies, por un período de un año.  Our library works similarly to any public library. We use the universal cataloguing system (CDU).  Students, teachers and non-teaching staff are registered by the ABIES programme for one year. 9  Recomendaciones de uso de la biblioteca por parte del profesorado:  Reservar la biblioteca con antelación.  Utilizar el mayor tiempo posible la biblioteca para actividades de lectura en grupos.  Some recommedations for teachers to use the library:  To book the library in advance.  To use the library most of the time for reading activities in groups. 10  El equipo de biblioteca está constituido por un total de 17 profesores.  El profesorado colaborador forma parte de diferentes departamentos y áreas.  Existe la figura del coordinador de biblioteca. Dispone de 1 hora de reducción lectiva y tres de dedicación directa de biblioteca.  The teachers in charge of the library are 17.  The colaborating teachers belong to different departaments and areas.  We also have a library coordinator. 11  Las funciones del equipo son:  Préstamos y devoluciones.  Alta de lectores.  Mantenimiento del Catálogo  Hacer copia de seguridad.  Realizar visitas guiadas.  Organización de eventos en biblioteca.  Colaboración en dinamización.  Asesoramiento a lectores.  The library staff functions are:  Lendings are returns.  Readers registering.  Catalogue maintenance  Security copies.  Guided visits.  Events organisation in the library.  Enlivening collaboration.  Readers advising. 12 ACTIVIDADES CONMEMORATIVAS  Desde la biblioteca y en colaboración con otras instituciones se organiza la conmemoración de acontecimientos destacables, mediante la exposición de libros, elaboración de guías de lectura y actos de celebración.
