19 ¿Porqué Guatemala?  I chose Guatemala because a good friend of mine recently traveled here for school and have a wonderful time there! The pictures she showed me were breathtaking, so I took this chance to get to know more about this country and I’m glad I did. Guatemala has very scenic and beautiful things to see like volcanoes, pathes, small towns and markets, and beaches. The culture here is very different than ours, as well as the food, which also interests me. Guatemala is well known for it’s mayan structures, like the Tikal. It is rich in Mayan history. On of the well known mayan games is the Mayan Ball Game.

20 Seguido..  During Weddings the bride and groom are united with a silver rope because of ancient tradition. I just feel like everything Guatemala has to offer is so much different that what we have in the Us, that is intrigues me to see how much differently people can live. There is a tour given where you can tour the poorest parts of the country and literally watch how people live off of 2 dollars a day! Astounding! I love the huge architecture and markets that Guatemala has to offer. The markets offer fresh fruits and veggies as well and hand crafter gifts for tourists and locals. The volcanoes are also pretty cool. It is not everyday you get to see a volcano! Also, the cars and busses are quite old, but rustic, the entire country gives a feel of history that you just want to be a part of.
