2 The “Healthy Moves” InitiativeCity of Brownsville The “Healthy Moves” Initiative The overall goal for the “Healthy Moves” initiative is to bring services to Brownsville by forming a unified coordinated care system; focused on population health transformation and disease crisis prevention that will result in improved health rating outcomes.

3 City of Brownsville Since implementing the “Healthy Moves” project, there have been several community-wide activities that have taken place with the City Mayor of Brownsville. Many of these events were held in at-risk, low income and impoverished areas. This initiative has attracted a population of residents who normally would not have participated in physical activities and received free basic but essential health screenings.
