7 DROP OFF AND PICK-UP Doors open 10 minutes before class time. Never drop off your child without making sure they have made it safely inside. No student should be dropped off and left unattended ever. Pick-up time is within 10 minutes of class dismissal Have your student passes ready before pick-up time or you will have to wait and go by the office before child will be released to you. Puertas abren 10 minutos antes de clase. Nunca deje al niño(a) sin asegurarse de que han esta entrado a el salon. Ningún estudiante debe quedarse solo o desatendido. Please form a car line or walk up to the front door and their name will be called. Students will remain in the building until you arrive to pick them up. Student cards will not be required for Middle School and High School Students.

10 We will not be using student folders that they take home and return each week. We ask that you please let us know when change your phone #’s or address. 11 ATTENDANCE/ASISTENCIA It is very important that your child has the opportunity to get the full catechesis available in the program. We have limited time to teach, so please aim for perfect attendance. If your child is ill, we do not expect him/her to come to class. Please call 608-9815 during class times as soon as you know your child is not going to attend RE. Thank you. 12 DISCIPLINE POLICY Very seldom do we have disciplinary problems in the RE classroom. In case it is necessary these are the procedures we follow: First Offense: The Catechist will handle the situation with love and care. Second Offense: The student is sent to the RE Office and the DRE talks with the student and has a time-out. Parents may be called. Third Offense: Parents are called and asked to sign a behavior agreement. Muy rara vez tenemos problemas disciplinarios en el aula RE. En caso sea necesario son los procedimientos que siguen: Primera ofensa: el catequista manejara la situación con amor y cuidado. Segunda ofensa: El estudiante es enviado a la oficina y la directora hablara con el estudiante y tiene un tiempo de espera. Pueden llamarse padres. Tercera Ofensa: Los padres están llamados y pedidos para firmar un acuerdo de conducta

13 WEATHER If we need to cancel classes due to inclement weather conditions we will do our best to post it on the parish website: hfnb.org, leave a message on the R.E. phone and post signs on the doors of the R.E. Center. Si tenemos que cancelar las clases debido a el tiempo haremos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para publicar en el sitio web de la parroquia:hfnb.org, dejaremos un mensaje en el teléfono de R.E. y publicar señales en las puertas del centro de educación religiosa.

14 FIRST COMMUNION NEWS Students 3 rd grade and up who attended and completed a full year of R.E. last year are eligible for First Reconciliation and First Communion this year. Required Parent Meeting is scheduled for: MONDAY, OCTOBER 17 TH AT 6:30PM/REC OR SATURDAY, OCTOBER 22 nd AT 10:00AM/REC MUST MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO ATTEND (1) OF THEM. Any questions, call Angie before those dates. Estudiantes de 3er grado y quien asistió y terminó un año completo de R.E. el año pasado son elegibles para la primera reconciliación y primera comunión este año. Requiere reunión de padres será: El lunes, 17 de Octubre a 6:30 de la tarde/REC o El sábado, 22 de Octubre a las 10:00 /REC debe hacer arreglos para asistir (1) de ellos.
