9 LA LEY 397 En consonancia con el principio constitucional de la biodiversidad, La ley 397 obliga al Estado a: “Garantizar a los grupos étnicos y lingüísticos, a las comunidades negras y raizales, el derecho a conservar, enriquecer y difundir su identidad y patrimonio cultural, a generar el conocimiento de las mismas según sus propias tradiciones y a beneficiarse de una educación que asegure estos derechos”, (Numeral 6. Articulo 1).
