Enséñanos a abrir totalmente nuestras puertas para acoger a l@s hambrient@s, sedient@s, encarcelad@s, enferm@s, extranjer@s, y desnud@s.
20 Jesus, you said to us, “I was a stranger, and you welcomed me.” You were a stranger, and the shepherds and Wise Ones visited you. You were a stranger, and John the Baptist prepared the way for you. You were a stranger, and the disciples followed you. You were a stranger, and the Samaritan woman welcomed you. Help us learn from you how to welcome the stranger. Teach us to open wide our doors to welcome those who are hungry, thirsty, imprisoned, sick, strange, or naked. Teach us to shelter the homeless. Teach us to accept welcome when we are the stranger. Teach us to work together to build our common home. May we learn anew the meaning of your words, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Amen.
