5 The Gathering Place in St. John’s NL is a community centre offering nourishing meals, health services, and social support for homeless persons or persons in less than adequate homes. It is operated jointly by the Sisters of Mercy and the Presentation Sisters.

Enséñanos a aceptar ser acogidas cuando somos nosotras l@s foraster@s. Enseñanos a unirnos para construir nuestra casa común. Help us learn from you how to welcome the stranger. Teach us to open wide our doors to welcome those who are hungry, thirsty, imprisoned, sick, strange, or naked. Teach us to shelter the homeless. Teach us to accept welcome when we are the stranger. Teach us to work together to build our common home. May we learn anew the meaning of your words, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Amen.
