7 Numbers as adjectives  When you use a number as an adjective describing how many of something there is, the number’s ending does not change according to the gender of the noun. cuatro niños, cuatro niñas Ex: cuatro niños, cuatro niñas “uno” and other numbers ending in “uno” do change gender.Uno loses the final –o before a masculine noun. However, “uno” and other numbers ending in “uno” do change gender. Uno loses the final –o before a masculine noun. One boy = Uno chico.  Uno changes to una before a feminine noun.
