2 Los verbos especiales Special verbs, like gustar, require an indirect object pronoun (IOP) which show who the verb is being acted upon. Other verbs that follow the same pattern are: ◦Aburrir, fascinar, importar, caer bien (mal), interesar, molestar, disgustar, encantar, faltar, parecer, etc.

4 ¡Conjuguemos! The IOP changes based on the subject of the sentence. The verb changes based on the number of things doing the action. ◦(Yo) Me gusta el taco. ◦(Yo) Me gustan los tacos. ◦(You) Te gustan los tacos. If the “special” verb is followed by an infinitive, the “special” verb is sigular. ◦Me gusta bailar.
