2 AMANECE QUE NO ES POCO Director: José Luis Cuerda (1989) Comedy, Ridiculous Comedy. Surrealism Cast: Antonio Resines, Cassen, Luis Ciges, Aurora Bautista, Enrique San Francisco, José Sazatornil, Pastora Vega, Chus Lampreave, Manuel Alexandre, María Isbert. This movie is probably one of the most interesting examples on surrealist comedy in the modern Spanish history. It's a critic, acid portrait of what has been Spain under the dictatorship of General Franco, and specially critic with how is Spain actually A choral and upsetting story dealing with Professor Teodoro (Antonio Resines) of Oklahoma University who along with his father (Luis Ciges) are traveling around Europe on a motorcycle with sidecar when they arrive in a village where fantastic things happenings. As the priest (Cassen) carries out a particular mass, the Mayor (Rafael Alonso) has problems with neighbors who want to share his woman (Fedra Lorente), people who knows the William Faulkner's novels, while (Jose Sazatoril ¨Saza¨) a Guardia Civil has to face strange events. 3 CÁNDIDA Director: Guillermo Fesser (2006) Comedy-Drama Cast: Cándida Villar, Jorge Bosch, Raúl Peña, Víctor Sevilla, Yaiza Guimare, Toni Morant, Joan Massotkleiner, Javier Ruiz Taboada, Mónica Gª Ferreras, Sole Mallol, Jaime Fesser An old and ingenuous woman named Cándida (a newcomer Candida Villar) is an lowly maid in Madrid, where she scrapes to get by and help her two useless sons, a druggie called Javi and a schizophrenic called Julian. As her family situation goes from bad to worse, her travails inspire other people. She works as a maid, cleaning sight-seeing bus and houses as the Marquesa De Banco De España (María Elena Fesser, mother of director and writer, Guillermo and Javier Fesser). 4 EL ASOMBROSO MUNDO DE BORJAMARI Y POCHOLO Director: Enrique López Lavigne, Juan Cavestany (2004) Comedy. Cast: Santiago Segura, Javier Gutiérrez, Pilar Castro, Guillermo Toledo, Coté Soler, Carmen de la Maza, Gerardo Malla, Antonio de la Torre, Josema Yuste…. BorjaMari and Pocholo are the most popular guys in discos at he the 80's, while they are about 20 and have all the girls behind them. Unfortunately, twenty years have passed and they have not changed anything. They go to the same place (where they are less than clowns, but they don't realize), listen the same music and make the same jokes, day after day, without realizing that world has changed. One day, they find their cousin, Pelayo, who was the loser of the 80s, that today is a famous artist-sportsman that has everything in life. He decides to take revenge and tells them that Mecano (a mythic Spanish group of the eighties) are going to do a surprise concert in a few days. BorjaMari and Pocholo, stupid as they are, believe him and filled with happiness make a travel to see Mecano without knowing that all is a joke from their cousin The soundtrack is superb, with probable the best Spanish-pop songs of the last twenty years.

5 LA VIDA DE NADIE Director: Eduardo Cortés (2002) Drama. Family Cast: José Coronado, Adriana Ozores, Marta Etura, Roberto Álvarez… Emilio is a successful business man, a perfect father and a good husband. Or that is what everybody think. The perfect storyline he has carefully built all along these years will start closing around him all of a sudden. Will he be able to keep up with his own lies? This is a very well laid out drama, with great acting and steady direction. Even though the plot is pushed up to the limit to increase the tension, the movie explores some of our worst fears... Do we really know the people we deal with? 6 ATRACO A LAS TRES Y MEDIA Director: Raúl Marchad Sánchez (2003) Comedy. Cast: Iñaki Miramón, Josema Yuste, Josep Julien, Elsa Pataky, Juan Hernández, Manuel Alexandre, Chus Lampreave, Beatriz Rico, Natalia Millán. 2003: Goya Awards: 1 nomination Best Original Song One of the most important German Banks buys the Previsor Bank, a modest Spanish financial entity. The arrogant director, Otto Schültz, considers the methods employed by Spanish employees to be inefficient and proposes instead swapping them for young expert in modern technology. One day when he arrives to the office decide to early retire all the workers including the General Director. Everybody is sad, except Galino, who reacts with euphoria due to this notice. He has a great idea: try to steal the bank before they leave the office for the last time. He knows that a big amount of money will arrive on Christmas night and his plan is steal it during that night. At the beginning his mates thinks that he is crazy, but due to their lack of money decide unite to the plan

8 TARANCÓN Director: Antonio Hernández (2011) Drama. Cast: José Sancho, Roger Coma, Eusebio Poncela, Roberto Álvarez, Paco Merino, Guillermo Montesinos, Carlos Areces, María Isasi, Enrique Arce, Antonio Valero Biographical miniseries about Tarancón, a Spanish Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Archbishop of Madrid during the difficult years of the Spanish transition to democracy. He was elevated to the cardinalate in 1969. In this position, he had to confront the difficult last years of the regime of dictator Francisco Franco, in which relationships between Government and Church were tense.
