4 What is a Feature Pack? Our objective is to accelerate the delivery of more features and fixes into the N/D platform and are changing our approach to gather these components into quarterly feature packs, using an approach similar to the continuous delivery model of Windows 10. Instead of releasing an entirely new and different version of its desktop OS every few years, Microsoft is taking an Apple-like approach to subsequent Windows releases, standardizing on Windows 10 Notes/Domino will be the baseline release and future updates will be delivered as feature packs on top of This provides a mechanism for continuous delivery of improvements and helps with easier deployments for our customers There are ”core” technical elements required to support the longevity of Domino applications and these are of the highest priority in these next Feature Packs Goal is to deliver these via ”feature packs,” with a target time frame of quarterly releases 4
