3 Regular verbs that end with –car, -gar, or –zar have a spelling change in the yo form only. They still use the same ending, which is é. Sacar  the c becomes qu  Yo saqué Pagar  the g becomes gu  Yo pagué Empezar  the z becomes c  Yo empecé
