1 Opportunities and Possibilities:  Incorporate a variety of books in different areas of the classroom about different communities in different countries in the world  Incorporate some toys about community signs and community helpers (police officers, doctors, teachers, dentists, mail carriers, bus drivers, firefighters) in the block area

2 Continue…  Incorporate activities and games about community helpers, and having some volunteers to come to the classroom to talk more about safety rules (firefighters and police officers)  Songs and Read aloud in English and Spanish to enhance Andy’s vocabulary

3 Parent’s Voice continue… Mom: “Cuando vamos a la tienda o nos vamos a paciar en bicicleta, practicamos las señales de la calle con el y sus hermanas le ayudan” Mom: “Le encánta que le preguntemos sobre lugares como tiendas, parques, biblioteca, y otros lados que tengan letras y figuras al caminar” Mom: “Siempre él nos pregunta a mi y a su papá sobre los letreros de las calles y tiendas y yo me hago como la que no sé para hacerlo pensar a el y el me diga la respuesta”.

4 Child’s Voice: Andy: “A mi me gusta caminar con mi mama y mi papá y mis hermanas por mi casa. También me gusta pasiar en bicicleta con mis hermanas y ir a la biblioteca”.
