16 Notifications, visas and residence permits cont.Important to think of Who is the predecessor? when applying for visa and with the notification of arrival Creating a new position - provide information prior to arrival Notification of arrival form Complete the entire form Both city and country of birth is needed Photos for ID cards - white background Notification of departure form Return the ID card upon departure, and the residence permit card as soon as possible Private Servants Contract must be approved before applying for visa

18 Agrément, Letters of Credence, AudiencesMs Jenny Olwan – The time of the arrival of a new Ambassador or the departure of a leaving Ambassador must be notified in a note verbal. Audiences with H.M. the King in order to present the credentials are in principle offered 4 times per semester. A Head of Mission who has resided in Stockholm for a minimum of 2 years may be received by H.M. the King at the Royal Palace for a farewell audience. Farewell audiences are in principle offered 4 times per semester. The request for agrément for Ambassadors must be submitted with a note verbale from the sending state through the Embassy of the sending state. Photo (passport type) and CV should be enclosed. The processing of the request usually takes 4-6 weeks.

20 Mail delivery Diplomatic correspondence or packages for the Government Offices to be delivered by hand should be handed in at the delivery service at Centralposthuset at Mäster Samuelsgatan 66 Regular post should be sent to UD-PROT, Stockholm

21 Mail collecting Post may be collected from Gustav Adolfs torg by authorised staff. Missions should provide the Protocol Department with the names of staff responsible for collecting post at the Ministry. See list (3.6 in Diplomatic Guide)
