3 Purpose of the New Member Benefits Guide The New Member Benefits Guide is intended as an added benefit that fills a need and is a selling point with potential new members. It offers additional benefits otherwise not offered. It is a way to say, “Thank you, we value you!”

8 The “Thank You” When you have their signed membership form in hand- Thank them for choosing to belong to our Association. Personally give them the New Member Benefits Guide and say:  “Thank you for belonging to our Association.”  “This is a gift from UEA worth hundreds of dollars.”  “It is specifically for new members like you.”

11 Show the New Member Benefits Guide Show them their Temporary Membership Card and Member Number on the back cover. Direct them to the UEA website myUEA.org/NewMember for more information and resources. Click on the “New Member” logo on the right hand side of the page. Enter your Temporary Membership Number in the box. Click on “Logon to UEA/Access for Discounts” to find thousands of other money-saving discounts.
