3 Organization into sub-groupsSelect members from your present groups to each of the four groups below: Coordination Group – one member. The group is in charge of coordinating planning work of the other sub-groups and instructing the final outcome and its presentation - and give assistance to the other groups when necessary. Plan 2025 – one member. The group is in charge of finalizing the first stage land use and transport plan and the associated written account explaining the contents of the plan and the reasonings behind it, e.g. its relation to both analysis work and the longer term vision and other scenarios. Vision 2045 – one member. The group is in charge of finalizing the land use and transport plan for the chosen vision of 2045 and the associated written account developing the scenario storyline, following the implementation of Plan 2025, and giving justifications why this plan should be taken as Lahti’s vision. Alternative scenarios 2045 – the remaining members. The group is in charge of finalizing the land use and transport plans for the minimum of two other plausible scenarios 2045 for Lahti, and the associated written account developing the respective scenario storylines following the implementation of Plan Although these alternative plans are not the vision, they should make the best of the circumstances prevailing in each scenario.
4 Guidelines Plans in digital format.The information given in the plans should be in accordance with Assignment 3. Coordination Group: give a guideline for the use of colours and other markings in the plan. A legend to each plan explaining the markings if necessary. Regarding Plan 2025, add benchmark pictures to illustrate the character of the areas and transportation modes to be developed. Give catchy names for the vision and alternative scenarios 2045. Coordination Group: compile the written accounts for each plan into a single report with a short executive summary and an introduction explaining the unfolding of the strategic land use and transport plan for Lahti 2025 with its different phases of analysing, scenario building etc. Add illustrations, e.g. benchmark pictures, plans.
5 Final outcome Each plan in pdf format.Written report – to be compiled by the Coordination Group. Power Point presentation – to be compiled by the Coordination Group. -> Return the above documents to MyCourses return box by Wednesday, December 14th, by midnight. Poster presentation. size A1; if the pdf files are sent to Lahti by Tuesday evening (Dec 13th), the posters will be printed there and brought to the seminar room. Agree with Johanna Palomäki on the details. Label bar: The title of the plan, the names of the students, the course, master’s program and university. The scale of the maps indicated either numerically or graphically. Coordination Group: give a guideline for the number and layout of the panels.
