9 Episode 1: Paleolithic EraInformation Episode 1: Paleolithic Era Contests Results
10 “Paleolithic Era” Paleolithic Era was the very beginning of the “Stone Age” that would last for a good 3.4 million years. This point in time was mainly undeveloped as they had very little technological uses. They only had their bare hands to build and hunt compared to now with all the advancements in technology. The men and women were giants compared to the rest of the eras. The average height of men were 5.9”, and the average height of women were 5.5”. To be healthy, you gotta eat! And at this point, they didn’t eat much. They mainly ate meats such as bison, mammoth, wild boar, horse, roe deer and grey seal as well as many varieties of fish and other sea creatures. Fire, which Paleolithic people use to cook their food, had been mastered nearly 1.8 million years ago. Originally snatched from conflagrations caused by lightning or lava flows, fire was domesticated as humans developed techniques to preserve glowing embers and started fires by rubbing sticks and other materials together. back

12 Paleolithic challenge resultsIn the first episode Gabe, Mia and Ben are standouts but they have mad stone age survival skills. They wiped out the first challenge like it was an everyday thing. Mia ,Gabe and Ben hit the animal on the first try and had bison for dinner. On the other hand Jadyn,John and Jennifer struggled with this challenge. Unfortunately, Jadyn went home because she didn't catch anything. I guess her skills just didn't cut it. Who will go home next??? Mesolithic Era

14 “Mesolithic Era” The Mesolithic Era is the “Middle Stone Age” were man continued to develop to more efficient ways such as beginning to harvest and find fruits and berries, as well as to develop better tools to hunt. The average height of man was 5’8 ft and the average height of women was 5’3 ft. A 100 meter rise in sea level at this time due to climate warming led to encroachment of water further inland promoting a northward spread of malaria into populations not yet adapted. People may have asked what cultures did they have? Although culturally and technologically continuous with Paleolithic peoples, Mesolithic cultures developed diverse local adaptations to special environments. Some people used pottery to express culture and religion. Let's see who will survive!!! :) back
15 Mesolithic Era contestContest 1: In this challenge the contestants will have to design the inside of their house to meet the standards of surviving in it.They will need a bedroom area, a fire pit for eating and a place to store pots and tools for cooking and hunting. But there will be a twist in the middle of their designing. They will have to sleep in it for the rest of their time here and they will have to go out and harvest food for their dinner tonight or else they will not move on in the stone age survivor back
16 Mesolithic challenge resultsBen, Gabe and Mia are now one step closer to the $100,000. Unfortunately, two people must go home this week. John and Jennifer were great contestants but this week their skills couldn’t cut it. In the Mesolithic challenge, Jennifer didn't have the strength to build the inside of her house plus harvest food afterward. Unfortunately, John went home because when he heard he had to stay in the house he made he knew he would not survive. Neolithic Era back
17 Episode 3 Neolithic Era Information Contests Results
18 Episode 3: “Neolithic Era”The Neolithic Era was the “New Stone Age” as man had developed substantially from the “Old Stone Age”. The average height in men was 5’5 ft and the average height for women was 5’1 ft. The average Neolithic Era diet consisted of mostly a modern day healthy diet such as: wheat, barley, lentils, flax, sheep, cattle, pigs and goat, as well as whole grains, beans, legumes, fruits, vegetables, dairy and other meats. Man now started to settle in villages and learned how to farm and make pottery. They also learned how to domesticate animals such as cattle, sheep, goats and other animals. back
19 Neolithic Era Contest Neolithic Era Contest: Contestants have to build a small house big enough for 2 people and develop a small 5x6 ft. farm comprised of gathered plants & seeds. back Let's see if they can do it!!!
20 Neolithic results After three hard and competitive episodes, we have came to a close. Everyone left is a major contender to win the finals. But our judges are now deciding on if Gabe or Mia will win the $100,000 grand prize. Gabe has won one episode and Mia has won an episode too. The judges have finally decided on the winner, and the winner is Gabe! His hardship and effort to succeed has won him the grand prize. Great job Gabe!! Thanks dudes Next
