October 2013: Applied for NED grant Week of January 6, 2014: Government-run newspaper "El Telegrafo"publishes my hacked private s and conspiracy theory. Rumour mill and troll army: ALBA's News Agency, Agency Andes,Radio Pública. Government-run channel anounced TV special on “CIA’s tentacles in Ecuador.” January 11, during his "sabatina", the President congratulated "El Telegrafo" for coverage about me. January 13, 14 and 15 Government-run channel airs TV special on “CIA’s tentacles in Ecuador” featuring “El Telegrafo” story about me. Each chapter lasted around 5 minutes and was the opening of the news broadcast those days. It was "El Telégrafo" script plus images of the documentary about the death of my father, Jaime Roldós, who died in a plane crash with my mother being Ecuador's president. The main argument was what Andes' correspondent said in his twitter account: Martha Roldós sold out to the murderers of her parents. January 14, I announced legal action at a press conference. January 25: Segment of the Saturday "double standards" dedicated to me. February 2014: My legal complaint filed; prosecution fails to act on the hack. Since there was a reaction in my favor from several sectors of the society, on the press and in the social media, the government let wane its attack on me after three weeks, and focused on blocking my legal actions.

Cyber harrasment: other episodesUntil now I am the target of government trolls attacks. July The media outlet to which I am related to, was subject of strong DDoS attacks (Distribute Denial of Service) July An unathorized recorded conversation of mine was made public by an ecuadorian assambly member. They planted a microphone in a vehicle I was traveling. 2015 appeared as one of the targets in Ecuador chapter of Packrat operation. Citizen Lab labeled the operation Packrat because the hackers use commercially available packages of remote access trojans - or RATs - that infect computers and smartphones, allowing hackers to capture keystrokes, s and text messages. The software could even hijack microphones and webcams. (Associated Press) Operation Packrat's targets include journalists and dissidents from various regimes in Latin America, including the Argentine prosecutor Alberto Nisman who was murdered last year. Although Citizen Lab could identify their MO has not been determined the identity of who is behind the attacks.

January 6th 2014 When my emails got published by “El Telégrafo”

January 6th 2014 Andes News Agency

¿What got published? Posts and documents I had received and sent over the span of several months were published. Among them, the legal documents of the foundation's constitution, NED's application, and the detail of who we had ed, and with whom we met, even for a cup of coffee. Some s, were even summoned to the letter, in quotes, like Adam Isaacson's from WOLA (Washington Office on Latin America. private- -communications-get

Core Points El Telegrafo's Director has tried by all means to deny the hacking of my account. Few days after publishing he said he obtained my s thanks to a FOIA request.. The publication of the quoted from Isaacson to Holiday could never have obtained with a FOIA request:  “Acabo de tener un almuerzo con Martha Roldós, de centro-izquierda, política ecuatoriana destacada (codirectora de la Asamblea Constituyente en 2008), y María Laura Patiño... Hablamos de sus preocupaciones sobre la nueva ley de medios de comunicación del país, el cierre de la revista de investigación Vanguardia y otras medidas que han quitado espacio a la libertad de prensa y de expresión”  The application to the NED Grant was not public record at that moment. My private s and the documents attached to them were not public record, either. None of them could have been obtained by FOIA. When the story of the FOIA request was not believed, he changed and said that one of the addressee had forwarded him the messages. It was not possible either. The extent of information they had, could not have been forwarded for a single receiver. Much of that correspondence was issued only between my account and the source or destination of the mails (as appropriate), with people from outside the country, law firm, NGOs, journalists, etc. The documents' photos they published, many of which were never printed and were attached to s sent at different times to different people in the space of several months could not have been leaked by a nonexistent third party.
