2 The new song was inspired on the French song, in the second fifties. The aim was to create a contemporaneous Catalan song and it started as a restoring movement of the popular catalan expressions. The movement was related to the Catalan language, banned by the dictatorship. The name of this group was Setze Jutges.They were singer-songwriters. They made up current songs.

3 BIOGRAPHY Joan Manuel Serrat, was born in Barcelona. Great number of his songs explain the geography of Catalonia in the postwar period. Musical beginnings While he studied he sang and he learned to play the guitar. In 1965 he participed in Radioscope, interpreting these first songs. They called him to offer him a contract and to record his first record. Joan Manuel Serrat was part of the Els Setze Jutges. That pushed up the catalan language.

4 Paraules d’amor ( love words) “Paraules d’amor senzilles i tendres. No en sabíem més, teníem quinze anys. 9 Raimon was born in València(Xàtiva). He worked two years in a radio of his city. Years 60 He went to Valencia city to study history. In 62, Raimon did his first public performance. Shortly after he sang for Setze Jutges. Raimon was surprised by the form and content of their songs.
