Troubleshooting Can’t connect over 3G: If you can’t connect over the 3G network to your camera, please make sure that you have checked the following: Firstly check your Modem. Is it connected to the network? If it isn’t connected to the network, please check your username/password and APN settings. With an Orange modem you will only have the APN. Please refer back to section 1 and 2 for modem settings. Check to see that power is running to the Nano. If you can reset the unit (turn the power off and back on) you should see the module under the camera should self test (spin round). If the camera does this, it proves there is power running to the unit. If power is running to the Nano, please contact technical support so that the Network Operator can be contacted. You will need to make sure you have the following information available when placing a technical call regarding 3G connection: The IP address of the camera in question The full postcode of where the camera is located Can’t connect over TC/IP (Green Cable): If you can’t connect over the green cable there are a few things you can check. Please try the following troubleshooting tips: Check that you have both ends of the green cable connected to both the Nano and the laptop/desktop Please check to make sure you’ve changed the TCP/IP settings on your computer (Please refer to section 6 of the manual) If these haven’t been changed, you will find that no connection can be made to the Nano. 65 Training on Demand: 3G Nano22. Troubleshooting Hard Disk Error: If your Nano presents a ‘Hard Disk Error’ when logging in, please try the following troubleshooting tips. You will first of all need to go to the camera and remove the compact flash card from the unit. This will have to be done when the Nano is powered off, or you risk further damage to the compact flash card. Once removed, please check that none of the pins are bent, and place the compact flash card securely back in place. Power the unit back up, and whilst on site, please dial in to the unit to see if this has cleared the issue. If it is not possible for you to dial in on site, please contact a member of your team or our technical team, to see if the error has cleared. You may have had a spare compact flash card delivered with the unit (this will be on your dispatch information). If the error has not cleared, please take out the compact flash card from the powered down camera, and replace with the spare compact flash card. Dial in to the unit when powered up again to see if the error is gone. If the error still persists with the spare compact flash card, or if you don’t have a spare compact flash card, please contact Technical Support. Unable to Access Footage using Site Archive: If you are unable to access your footage using site archive, please follow the troubleshooting tips before contacting Technical Support. Check the time and date on the live image (in the top right hand corner), if this is incorrect, you will find that the footage will not be found on the date and times you’ve specified. If you have changed the time and date yourself after spotting its incorrect, the footage will still be stored under the previous time and dates. If the date is wrong, you will need to look back at the date of the live image in site archive. From here you may be able to work backwards to find the footage you are looking for. If site archive won’t open at all, please check to see if the compact flash card is inserted correctly in to the dome. If you dial in to the camera, select ‘Setup’ and ‘Site Archive’, you should be able to see ‘Track Settings’ on the right hand side. If you’re not able to see the ‘Track Settings’, the compact flash card is not inserted correctly. If you still can’t access Site archive and your footage, please contact Technical Support with your query. Training on Demand: 3G Nano
