4 Graduation Requirements24 Total credits to graduate with a high school diploma 4 Units of language Arts 4 units of science 4 units of math 3 units of social studies .5 health/.5 personal fitness 3units of Ctae courses 2 units of foreign language 3 additional electives
5 CTAE-Career, Technical and Agriculture EducationMCA will have 6 CTAE pathways next year Agriculture Audio Video Technology & Film Business management & administration Culinary Arts Health science Welding 3 units/credits are required for successful completion of each pathway
6 MOWR-Dual Enrollment Coastal Pines and College of Coastal Georgia offer the students of MCA their academic courses for MOWR Coastal Pines courses are offered at MCA and at the college. To qualify for MOWR/Dual Enrollment Must complete one semester of academic course work for 9th grade BE in good academic standing have taken the SAT/ACT and meet college requirements for CCGA Passing score on the ACCUPLACer test for Coastal pines
7 Traditional schedule There are 7 periods in a dayEach class lasts a total of 50 minutes Courses are split in a part (semester 1) and b part (semester 2) The teachers you start with will be the teachers you finish your courses with You will be assigned an advisor and meet with your advisor during advisement throughout the school year.

This is the student’s permanent record THIS IS WHAT IS SENT TO COLLEGES This is the grade that determines if a student passes or fails the course. these are the grades used to calculate Gpa, class rank and hope
10 Grade placement and unitsCredit is earned for each class passed with a 70 or higher. to become a 10th grader you need 6 units/credits This is contingent upon a grade of 70 higher in math and language arts (literature) Graduation= 24 units
11 Hope scholarship requirementsGraduate from a HOPE-eligible high school with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (as calculated by GSFC). 12 Extra-curricular activitiesAll freshman are eligible for extra-curricular activities their 1st semester of high school In order to maintain eligibility, students must be passing 5 out of 7 classes each semester and be on track to graduate. The extra curricular activities offered at MCA are soccer, track, baseball, Softball, football, Cross country and basketball
