27 Working in the History ClassTo make sure you are giving your best it is vital that you: Bring a pen, pencil, rubber and ruler to every class. Keep work in order in your ring binder. File loose sheets neatly. Use your best handwriting. Use a rubber to get rid of mistakes. Do not use Typex. Put the date in the left hand margin at the top of your work. Always give your work a title. Underline your title with a ruler. Answer questions using proper sentences. Use a ruler to draw graphs and tables. Catch up on work missed through absence. It is your responsibility to do this. REMEMBER THESE ARE YOUR REVISION NOTES FOR THE FUTURE.
28 Introduction Tasks Collect the timeline showing the last 2000 years.Glue it into the centre of the first page in your jotter. Using a coloured pencil, carefully shade the area after 1450 AD. Write the words ‘Modern History’ above or below this area. Colour and label the areas for ‘Middle Ages’ and ‘Ancient History’. (See slide if you need help). You may be able to add some key events to your timeline, from the topics that you have already studied. You may also be able to add other events that you know about.
